Ajman University Enters World’s Top 400 in QS World University Rankings 2027

Ajman University has achieved its highest-ever position in the QS World University Rankings, entering the world’s top 400 universities and ranking 397 globally in the 2027 edition.  
This milestone reflects Ajman University’s sustained rise on the global stage, advancing from the 801–1000 band in the QSWUR 2019 edition to 397 globally in the QSWUR 2027 edition, in under a decade.
As AU approaches its 40th anniversary in 2028, this achievement carries special meaning. It marks nearly four decades of growth, the contribution of a global alumni community of over 45,000 graduates, and the collective efforts of the entire Ajman University community.

Ajman University Ranked Among World’s Top 300 in Times Higher Education Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026

Ajman University has achieved a major global milestone in the Times Higher Education Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026, ranking among the world’s top 300 institutions overall, with a placement in the 201–300 global band out of 1,603 institutions worldwide. The University also delivered strong global performance across key United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), ranking 6th worldwide for SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, out of 1,610 institutions globally, and 99th worldwide for SDG 13: Climate Action, out of 826 institutions globally. Ajman University was also placed in the 101–200 global band for both SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being and SDG 4: Quality Education. At the national level, Ajman University ranked #1 in the UAE for both SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals and SDG 13: Climate Action, reinforcing its position as one of the country’s leading institutions in sustainability impact, climate action, and cross-sector collaboration.

Dr. Karim Seghir, Chancellor of Ajman University, spoke at the Forbes Middle East Building the Future Summit, which convened more than 3,000 leaders, policymakers, investors, and innovators to explore the future of sustainable development, infrastructure, artificial intelligence, and economic growth across the region.

On the panel, “The Talent Engine: Building the Human Capital for Tomorrow’s Economy,” Dr. Seghir emphasized that every great city is only as strong as the people behind it. The future of human capital cannot be shaped by any one sector alone. It requires meaningful collaboration between academia, government, and industry—bringing together those who educate talent, those who employ it, and those who shape the policies that enable it.

Masar Career Excellence Hosts Recognition Event for Internship Partners and Mentors

Masar Career Excellence organized a recognition event to honour internship field supervisors, employer partners, career advisory board members, and mentors, in appreciation of their commitment and meaningful impact on students’ lives. The event highlighted the importance of internships as a key milestone in students’ transition to professional life, where academic knowledge is transformed into practical skills and confidence is built. It also reinforced the university’s ongoing efforts to strengthen partnerships with industry, enhance student employability, and support career readiness through meaningful engagement with employers and mentors. The gathering also formed part of the program’s strategy to strengthen engagement with industry partners and build sustainable relationships that support the development of students’ and graduates’ career pathways.

The College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences Hosts APPE Stakeholder Meet to Enhance Pharmacy Students’ Experiential Learning

The College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, through its Office of Experiential Learning, hosted the “APPE Stakeholder Meet” to review and enhance the Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE), a core component of the Bachelor of Pharmacy program. Ajman University Signs MoU with Crown Private School to Strengthen Education, Innovation, and Sustainability Cooperation

Ajman University, through the Office of Sustainability, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Crown Private School to establish a framework for collaboration in areas of shared interest, including student transition pathways, STEM and innovation initiatives, sustainability and community outreach, career guidance and mentorship, cultural and leadership exchange, co-branded certificate programs, and support for research and publications. Dr. Musab Hamed Saeed from the College of Dentistry, Ajman University, Wins Thumbay International Research Grant 2026

Dr. Musab Hamed Saeed, Associate Professor and Head of Clinical Dental Sciences at Ajman University’s College of Dentistry, has been awarded the Thumbay International Research Grant 2026. The grant supports his research on improving personalized PD-1/PD-L1 immunotherapy response using a tissue culture model. The project is led by Dr. Musab Hamed Saeed (Ajman University) and Dr. Asma Uthman (Gulf Medical University), with Dr. Anas Shamsi (Ajman University) serving as co-investigator responsible for data analysis.

Dr. Muhammad Hanif Achieves Top Citation Ranking in Digest of Middle East Studies

Dr. Muhammad Hanif, Professor at the College of Business Administration, has achieved a significant research milestone after his paper was listed among the top 10 most-cited articles in Digest of Middle East Studies for 2024. The paper, titled “Islamic finance and economic growth: Global evidence,” explores the relationship between Islamic finance and economic growth and has gained strong academic recognition and impact within the international research community based on citation data from Clarivate Analytics. This achievement reflects Ajman University’s growing research profile and the contributions of its faculty in producing high-impact scholarly work that advances knowledge globally.

Pharmacy and Health Sciences Students Participate in Global Clinical Training at UM, Malaysia

Students from the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences participated in a two-week international clinical training program at the University of Malaya (UM), Malaysia. The program was organized in collaboration with Ajman University’s Office of International Academic Affairs, reflecting the University’s commitment to fostering global engagement and providing transformative international learning opportunities. During the program, students gained first-hand experience in both hospital and community pharmacy settings. Through visits to various hospital pharmacy departments, including paediatrics, outpatient, and psychiatric pharmacy, they observed medication dispensing practices, explored pharmaceutical regulations, and developed a deeper understanding of the pharmacist’s role in patient care. The training also included in-class sessions and emphasized communication skills required for collaboration with healthcare professionals and patient counselling, enabling students to connect academic learning with real-world clinical practice.

Postgraduate Orthodontics Students Enhance Clinical Skills Through Certification Program

The College of Dentistry held the Eon Certification Course – Module 1 for Master of Orthodontics students. This course represents the first part of a three-module certification program designed to provide structured and progressive training in contemporary orthodontic practices. The course provided postgraduate students with advanced knowledge and training, focusing on enhancing clinical competencies and supporting evidence-based treatment approaches in modern orthodontics. The session contributed to strengthening students’ understanding of modern orthodontic systems and treatment workflows, aligning with the program’s goal of preparing highly skilled specialists capable of integrating advanced technologies into clinical and academic practice.

The College of Architecture, Art and Design, in collaboration with ICOM UAE, organized the International Museum Day 2026 under the theme “Museums Uniting a Divided World,” bringing together museum professionals, curators, and academics to highlight the role of museums as cultural and educational platforms, and featuring an exhibition of interior design and architecture student projects that reflected the integration of academic learning with cultural practice and encouraged innovative ideas for future museums, while reinforcing the importance of collaboration between academic and cultural institutions in promoting knowledge and community engagement.

The College of Law Hosts Ministry of Family to Discuss Master’s Program in Family Justice Legislation

The College of Law hosted a delegation from the Ministry of Family in a coordination meeting to discuss strategic cooperation and a proposed partnership for the Master’s program in “Family Justice Legislation.” The meeting reviewed the program’s vision and objectives, aligned with the National Agenda for Family Growth 2031, which aims to prepare national experts in family law, legislation, mediation, and family protection. Both sides explored collaboration opportunities, including curriculum development, field visits, student thesis supervision, and joint research initiatives. The Office of Human Resources organized a Microsoft Power BI Training workshop, which was delivered by Powerful Insights. The training aimed to enhance participants’ skills in data visualization and analytics using Power BI, supporting evidence-based decision-making and institutional performance reporting. A total of 20 staff members participated in the workshop, reflecting the University’s commitment to strengthening digital competencies and advancing data-driven practices across administrative functions.
