H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, and H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, Chairman of Ajman Executive Council and Chairman of Ajman University’s Board of Trustees, attended today the graduation ceremony of the second group of the university’s 35th graduating class, the “Proud of UAE” Cohort, held at the Sheikh Zayed Centre for Conferences and Exhibition on the university campus. During the ceremony, H.H. Sheikh Humaid awarded Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, an Honorary Doctorate in Humanities, the first honorary doctorate conferred by the university in its history, in recognition of his pioneering national role and his decades-long contributions to advancing higher education, supporting scientific research, and establishing knowledge institutions that have significantly contributed to the UAE’s comprehensive development journey. |

Ajman University Research Led by Dr. Hafez Shurrab Wins Best Paper Award at EDSI 2026 |

Ajman University achieved a research milestone as a study led by Dr. Hafez Shurrab, Assistant Professor at the College of Business Administration, won the Best Paper Award at the EDSI 2026 Conference in Porto, Portugal. The award-winning paper, titled “From Cognition to Configuration: An Organizational Design Review of Human-AI Collaboration in Supply Chain Planning,” was co-authored with Patrik Jonsson from Chalmers University of Technology and supported by an Ajman University research grant. This achievement highlights the study’s academic impact in advancing understanding of human–AI collaboration in supply chain planning and its contribution to organizational design research, while also enhancing the university’s global research visibility. Following this recognition, the authors were invited to compete at the main annual DSI Conference in San Francisco. |

Law Students Gain Practical Experience Through Crime Scene Visit |

The College of Law organized a field visit for students to a crime scene to support practical learning and link theory with practice. The visit introduced students to crime scene procedures, evidence collection, and investigation steps. Students observed how evidence is preserved and how procedures are applied in real cases. The experience helped strengthen their understanding of legal concepts and improved their practical skills. |

Dental Students Support Special Olympics Athletes Through Community Health Initiative |

The Office of Community Engagement, in collaboration with the College of Dentistry, participated in the Special Olympics through the deployment of the Mobile Dental Clinic as part of its commitment to community health and inclusion. The initiative provided accessible oral health services to athletes with intellectual and developmental disabilities directly at the event site over three days. The dental team delivered preventive screenings, oral health assessments, and awareness on proper dental care in a safe and inclusive environment. This participation reflects the university’s dedication to inclusive community services, preventive healthcare, and supporting initiatives that enhance the quality of life for people of determination. |
