Ammar Al Nuaimi Chairs Ajman University's Board of Trustees Meeting

H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, Chairman of the Executive Council, and Chairman of Ajman University’s Board of Trustees, chaired the Board of Trustees meeting held at the university in the presence of Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Vice Chairman of the Board. He reaffirmed that Ajman University continues to fulfill its academic and developmental mission under the support of H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Ruler of Ajman, while advancing its role in national development, the knowledge economy, and strengthening the UAE’s presence in education, research, and innovation. The University continues to develop its academic programs in line with job market needs and a vision focused on quality education and preparing qualified graduates.

H.H. Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi Witnesses the Launch of Ajman University’s First Executive Program, “Protecting Institutional Reputation During Crises”

H.H. Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Ajman Municipality and Planning Department and Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Ajman University, witnessed the launch of the first executive program offered by the Ajman University Center for Executive Education, titled “Protecting Institutional Reputation During Crises: Applications in Government Communication and Artificial Intelligence.” The program was held at the Government Entities Building at the Amiri Diwan, with the participation of executive leaders and representatives from national institutions across the UAE.

The program was launched under the directives of H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, Chairman of the Executive Council, and Chairman of Ajman University’s Board of Trustees, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the readiness of government institutions in navigating digital transformation and the rapidly evolving landscape of institutional communication and strategic decision-making. The program was delivered by Dr. Safa Osman, Associate Professor and Media Advisor to the Chancellor at Ajman University.

Ajman University and Ajman Citizens Affairs Office Sign Agreement to Provide Scholarships for Emirati Youth

Ajman University and the Ajman Citizens Affairs Office signed a cooperation agreement to provide scholarships for Emirati youth in Ajman and support their academic and professional development. The agreement was signed by H.E. Sheikh Abdullah bin Majid Al Nuaimi, Director General of the Citizens’ Affairs Office in Ajman, and Dr. Karim Seghir, Chancellor of Ajman University, in the presence of officials from both sides. It also includes coordination on academic programs and specializations that align with the needs of vital sectors and future job market requirements.

College of Medicine Launches POCUS Training Program to Enhance Clinical Skills and Medical Education

The College of Medicine has launched a new Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) training program for clerkship students as part of its commitment to advancing innovative medical education and clinical training. POCUS enables students to perform and interpret bedside ultrasound during patient care, supporting faster clinical decision-making and real-time integration of imaging findings. The program aims to equip future physicians with strong clinical skills, confidence, and hands-on experience, reflecting the College’s focus on excellence and preparing competent healthcare professionals.

Dr. Nahla Al Qassimi Participates in the 2026 United Nations STI Forum in New York

Dr. Nahla Al Qassimi, Dean of Student Services and Prof. at the College of Architecture, Art, and Design, participated in the 2026 United Nations Science, Technology and Innovation Forum at the UN Headquarters in New York. She joined high-level discussions on science, technology, innovation, engineering, AI, clean energy, water systems, and sustainable infrastructure. She also participated in a CAST special session on AI in engineering and held professional meetings with global stakeholders to support collaboration, knowledge exchange, and international engineering partnerships.

Prof. Aikaterini Nikolopoulou Receives Fellowship in Entrepreneurial Leadership from NCEE UK

Prof. Aikaterini Nikolopoulou from Ajman University’s College of Business Administration has received the Fellowship of Entrepreneurial Leadership from NCEE UK’s The Learned Society of Entrepreneurial Leaders, in recognition of her leadership, innovation, and contributions to entrepreneurial excellence in education. The Society connects global leaders who advance entrepreneurship, innovation, and new approaches to leadership and strategy.

CEIT Student Nasima Helal Wins Excellence and Creative Engineering Award 2026

Nasima Mohammad Helal, a student from the College of Engineering and Information Technology, won the “Outstanding Student” award during the fourth edition of the “Excellence and Creative Engineering Award 2026,” organized by the Society of Engineers – UAE. The award ceremony honored 29 distinguished institutions and individuals in the engineering sector and was attended by Sheikh Rashid bin Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences.

Ajman University Students Win Student Choice Award at EDVentures 2026

A multidisciplinary team from Ajman University achieved an international milestone by winning the Student Choice Award at EDVentures 2026, held at The Education University of Hong Kong from 26 to 28 May 2026. The team, composed of students from the College of Engineering and Information Technology and the College of Business Administration, presented “Spotix,” an innovative educational add-on designed to help students maintain focus during lectures by summarizing academic content and presenting it in visual and video formats tailored to different learning styles. Competing among 19 finalist teams from 10 universities across nine countries, the achievement highlights Ajman University’s commitment to innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and advancing impactful educational solutions.

Ajman University Architecture Students Win GCC Regional Prize at KALEIDOSCOPE 2025 

A team of architecture students from Ajman University, supervised by Dr. Muna Salameh,Principal Lecturer, won the GCC Regional Prize at KALEIDOSCOPE 2025 for their project “BAYN – Community Center, Sharjah,” among 77 submissions from across the GCC. The team was recognized by Prof. Riad Saraiji, Dean of the College of Architecture, Art and Design, who honored Dr. Salameh and the students in appreciation of their achievement. The recognition also highlighted a previous institutional success by students Noora and Ziena, reflecting the continued excellence of Ajman University students in architecture and design.

Ajman University Female Students Secure Third Place in Women’s Basketball at UAE University Games

Ajman University female students secured third place in women’s basketball at the University of Sharjah after a strong performance against leading university teams. The championship brought together 47 universities and more than 2,700 students across eight sports, reflecting the growth of university sports in the UAE. The team showed determination, teamwork, and sportsmanship, under the supervision and guidance of Women’s Basketball Coach Ebtisam Ahmad.

The Center for Inclusive Learning Organizes Proctors for Inclusion Session

The Center for Inclusive Learning organized a staff development session titled “Proctors for Inclusion” to strengthen inclusive examination practices and support students of determination during exams. Delivered by Dr. Dalia Bedewy, Director of the Center for Inclusive Learning, and Samah Abusniemah, Psychological Counselor, the session equipped proctors with practical skills to communicate effectively, provide appropriate accommodations, reduce exam anxiety, and create an accessible and supportive examination environment.

Pharmacy Students Strengthen Clinical Readiness through Immersive Simulations

The College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences organized an immersive simulation assessment for second-year Bachelor of Pharmacy students during their Hospital Pharmacy rotations. The activity used realistic hospital pharmacy scenarios, including pharmacy layout, medication storage, narcotics handling, inventory management, and health insurance processes, to strengthen students’ practical readiness for professional practice. The activity was coordinated by Dr. Sabrina Ait Gacem, Instructor, with support from Dr. Subish Palaian, Associate Professor; Dr. Alaa Faragallah, Senior Instructor; Ahmed Gaili, Instructor; Wahbi Ghaouji, Assistant Instructor; and Maisaa Shaat, Assistant Instructor.

CEIT Students Participate in Chatbot Innovation Hackathon in Collaboration with Infobip and E&

The College of Engineering and Information Technology organized a hackathon to give students hands-on practice with Infobip’s platform and encourage them to develop chatbot solutions for real-life challenges. The hackathon brought together 20 students from the college, with six teams presenting innovative ideas to address everyday needs, including major selection, internship opportunities, VAT-related queries, and awareness of malicious links. Three winning teams received first, second, and third place prizes. The first and third place teams developed chatbots to help students and alumni find internship opportunities, while the second-place team created a chatbot to assist with VAT-related queries. The judging panel included Ahmed Hatem and Sarah Trifi from E&, as well as Wissam Abiad and Mohammed Shadan from Infobip.

Law Students Participate in Moot Court Competition and Demonstrate Strong Legal Skills

A team from Ajman University College of Law participated in the Moot Court Competition organized by the International Committee of the Red Cross in collaboration with the Ministry of Justice in Abu Dhabi. The team represented the defense side and delivered a strong performance that reflected high legal competence and analytical skills. They also effectively addressed questions with well-supported legal arguments, making the experience a valuable opportunity that enhanced their advocacy, research, critical thinking, and teamwork skills in a competitive, real-world simulation environment.

Students Explore Public Speaking Skills in “How to Become a TEDx Speaker” Workshop

The AU English and Languages Study Café at the College of Humanities and Sciences hosted a workshop titled “How to Become a TEDx Speaker,” delivered by Omran Al Habbal, Lecturer. The workshop introduced students to effective techniques for structuring impactful talks, strengthening public speaking skills, and overcoming speech anxiety through interactive discussions and practical exercises. The session was organized by Hanaa Mansour, Lecturer, and aimed to enhance students’ confidence and communication abilities.

The College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences organized an Interprofessional Education (IPE) event, bringing together students from Pharmacy, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Medicine, and Dentistry. Architecture Students Explore Sustainable School Design in Collaboration with EmiratesGBC

The College of Architecture, Art and Design organized a public lecture for Design 3 architecture students in collaboration with the Emirates Green Building Council (EGBC), coordinated by Dr. Muna Salameh,Principal Lecturer, and presented by Lana Abuqalbain from EmiratesGBC. The lecture focused on the Sustainable School Building Guidance Booklet and provided students with practical insights into sustainable and climate-responsive school design linked to their ongoing school design projects. The session also introduced key sustainable design strategies for educational buildings, including environmental responsiveness, daylighting, natural ventilation, shading systems, energy efficiency, and student well-being in hot-arid climates.

Masar and Education for Employment UAE Collaborate on Student Support and Work Readiness Program

Masar Career Excellence met with Ms. Hiba Kandalaft, Programs and Partnerships Lead at Education For Employment UAE, to explore collaboration opportunities supporting Ajman University students, focusing on Masar services, student support initiatives, and alignment with the Student Success Center on future programs. The meeting also highlighted an initial partnership on a Work Readiness Program launching on June 1 to enhance students’ career readiness skills.

The College of Architecture, Art and Design organized an interactive workshop titled “From Box to Building: Designing Climate-Responsive Schools” in collaboration with the Emirates Green Building Council (EGBC). The College of Law organized a field visit to the Ras Al Khaimah Courts for 35 students as part of the “Civil Procedure Law (1) and (2)” courses to connect academic learning with practical experience, where students were introduced to court facilities, judicial and administrative workflows, and key legal procedures, enhancing their understanding, practical skills, and professional readiness. The College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences hosted an industry-focused workshop titled “Industry Insights on Cosmetic Science: A Hands-On Formulation Workshop”. Led by Melis Koklu, Account Manager at Croda Middle East, and her team, the workshop introduced students to practical cosmetic formulation techniques, ingredient selection, and current trends in the cosmetic and personal care industry. The workshop was coordinated by Prof. Sai Boddu, Head of the Pharmaceutical Sciences Program.
