Ajman University advances in the U.S. News & World Report Best Global Universities Rankings 2026, ranking #5 in the UAE overall and #337 in Asia, reinforcing its position among the region’s leading research institutions. A defining highlight of this year’s results is its #2 global ranking in International Collaboration, reflecting a research environment shaped by strong global partnerships and sustained cross-border academic engagement. This is further supported by strong performance across key citation indicators, including #184 worldwide in normalized citation impact, #192 globally for publications among the top 10% most cited, and and #277 worldwide for highly cited papers among the top 1% most cited.

Ajman University Students Win Best Poster Award at Zayed University’s International Student Research Competition 2026

Ajman University students achieved a remarkable academic milestone by winning the Best Poster Award at Zayed University’s International Student Research Competition 2026 for their innovative project, NeuroX, in the field of medical rehabilitation. The project is a non-invasive system that combines brain and muscle signals to create a digital twin framework for upper limb rehabilitation, enabling real-time measurement of movement intention and actual execution with approximately 88% accuracy. This achievement highlights the excellence of Ajman University students in scientific research and innovation on the international stage.

Ajman University Expands Global Engagement Through Participation in EU AI Healthcare Project "IDERHA Consortium"

Ajman University expanded its global engagement in healthcare innovation through the participation of Dr. Hamzeh J. Awad as an Ethical Advisory Board Member in the IDERHA Consortium in Frankfurt. This participation aims to support the development of ethical, data-driven AI solutions, strengthen international collaboration, and enhance the impact of healthcare education and research. It also contributes to improving patient care outcomes and advancing more sustainable and responsible healthcare systems.

Students Share Insights in Interactive Psychology Discussion Session

The Counseling Unit organized a session titled Discussion Circle: Exploring an Influential Book in Psychology at the Inclusive Learning Center. The session provided students with an interactive platform to share ideas, engage in meaningful dialogue, and explore the insights and impact of a selected psychology book under the guidance of Dr. Amal Badr, Associate Professor at the College of Mass Communication. The event encouraged critical thinking, active participation, and a culture of open discussion in a supportive learning environment.

Students Explore Literature Monitoring in Pharmacovigilance

The College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences organized a workshop titled Literature Monitoring in Pharmacovigilance to enhance students’ understanding of the role of scientific and medical literature in detecting, evaluating, and documenting adverse drug reactions. The session was delivered by Dr. Alaa Al-Dabbas, Managing Director and Pharmacovigilance Specialist at Inspire Pharma Consultancy, and highlighted key principles, processes, and best practices in literature screening to support medicine safety and strengthen pharmacovigilance activities.

Ajman University College of Dentistry Hosts Advanced Workshop on Orthodontic Miniscrews

The College of Dentistry hosted a hands-on workshop titled Orthodontic Miniscrews: From Biological Principle to Clinical Applications in collaboration with Scorpios and the Center for Continuing Education and Enterprises. Delivered by Dr. Mulhem Dumirieh, the workshop provided dental professionals and students with valuable insights into skeletal anchorage, biomechanics, safe placement techniques, clinical applications, and MARPE, along with practical hands-on training to enhance their clinical skills.

The Department of Languages and Culture at the College of Humanities and Sciences organized an engaging webinar titled Voice to Influence: Building Confidence in Public Speaking under the AU English & Languages Study Café. The Center for Inclusive Learning organized a session where students explored the impact of social media misinformation on mood and mental well-being. The session was delivered by Dr. Amal Mohamed Abdelmawla from City University Ajman and moderated by Samah Abusniemeh. The discussion showed how misleading digital content can increase stress and anxiety and affect emotional balance. Students learned practical ways to evaluate online content, manage screen time, and handle the emotional impact of social media, while building awareness, resilience, and healthier digital habits.

Students Gain Practical Financial Skills Through Ruya Bank Workshop

Masar Career Excellence organized a workshop titled Earn, Learn, Grow: Smart Ways for Students to Build Income in the UAE with Ruya Bank to equip students with essential financial skills and practical knowledge. The session was led by Noor AlZaabi from Ruya Bank and focused on smart budgeting, effective saving strategies, and the use of practical banking tools to help students make informed financial decisions. The initiative reflects Ajman University’s commitment to preparing students for long-term financial independence and career success.

Masar Career Excellence, in collaboration with the Inclusive Department and ICP Ajman, organized an impactful workshop on inclusiveness and equal opportunities in the workplace at the Inclusive Center. Led by inspiring speakers Amani Al Nuaimi, Manager of Support Services, and Abdulla Al Kamali, Employee, the session highlighted the importance of accessibility, resilience, and breaking barriers through real-life experiences. The Office of Sustainability, in collaboration with the Office of Human Resources, launched a sustainability awareness workshop series titled Sustainability Starts With Us: Building a Greener Workplace. The initiative aims to promote practical actions and raise awareness of environmentally responsible practices across the university community, particularly among staff and faculty. Led by Maya Haddad, Senior Sustainability Manager, the workshop series provides practical strategies and real-life applications to integrate sustainability into daily operations and foster a culture of environmental responsibility at Ajman University.
