Ajman University has achieved strong national and global placements across eight disciplines in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026, marking another important milestone in the University’s academic journey. Notably, Dentistry ranked #1 in the UAE, with strong standings also recorded across Pharmacy, Mathematics, Education, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, and Medicine. These results reflect the sustained efforts of our AU community, whose dedication to teaching, research, clinical training, and student success continues to strengthen the University’s academic standing across multiple fields.

Ajman University Launches New PhD in Artificial Intelligence with Faculty Ranked Among the World’s Top 0.5% and 2%   Scientists

Ajman University has announced the launch of its PhD in Artificial Intelligence program; a research-intensive program delivered by faculty ranked among the world’s top 0.5% and 2% scientists. The program, which is offered by the College of Engineering and Information Technology, is a new graduate program built on the University’s established leadership in this field. Doctoral candidates will be mentored by internationally experienced scholars, including researchers ranked among Stanford’s top 2% scientists worldwide and among the top 0.5% by ScholarGPS. Enrolled students will be involved in an original, publication-driven research environment within advanced AI laboratories and the AIRC Research Center.

Ajman University Students Showcase Excellence at India Design Week 2026

Ajman University students, under the supervision of Dr. Muna Salameh, represented the University at India Design Week 2026 and the Asian Paints ColourNext 2026 Launch Event in New Delhi, India, from 18–20 February 2026. The participation followed the outstanding achievement of students Ayesha Ziyad, Glerica Irish Clado, and Sirajam Muneera, who won the Regional Prize at the Kaleidoscope design competition organized by Asian Paints, earning them official recognition and an invitation to attend this leading international event. During the event, students engaged in symposium sessions, design discussions, and networking opportunities with global designers and industry professionals, gaining valuable exposure to emerging trends, sustainability practices, and the future of design. The experience enhanced their academic learning and strengthened their connection to international design communities.

Ajman University Signs MoU with Sheikh Khalifa Hospitals to Enhance Student Clinical Training and Career Readiness

In a significant step toward strengthening the UAE healthcare education ecosystem, Ajman University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sheikh Khalifa Hospitals, governed by The Medical Office, part of PureHealth, the largest healthcare group in the Middle East. The strategic partnership aims to bridge academic excellence with clinical practice by offering students advanced training opportunities across the network’s world-class healthcare facilities. The signing ceremony was held at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City in Ajman. The agreement was signed by Prof. Khaled Assaleh, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, and the CEOs of the participating hospitals. The ceremony was attended by the CEO of The Medical Office, Dr. Aref Al Shehi, other Medical Office leaders, senior representatives from all participating hospitals, and several academic leaders from the university. The event underscored the partners’ shared commitment to establishing a platform for future joint initiatives that will benefit both the healthcare sector and the academic community.

The Office of Student Life Empowers Students to Strengthen Leadership and Decision-Making Skills

The Office of Student Life conducted a workshop titled “Leadership in Action: Decision Making Under Pressure” to equip students with essential leadership skills. The session focused on leading by example, staying adaptable, and making decisions with confidence under pressure. Students explored key leadership skills such as communication, time management, and accountability, and learned practical strategies for decision-making, including SWOT analysis and the “ACT FAST” model. Through interactive scenarios, they applied these skills to real-life situations, enhancing their critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. The workshop encouraged students to take initiative, work effectively in teams, and adopt a proactive mindset to become confident and resilient leaders.

The College of Humanities and Sciences Celebrates International Accreditation of Sociology Programs with Partners 

The College of Humanities and Sciences hosted a Partners’ Gathering to celebrate the international accreditation of its Sociology programs, bringing together department partners, advisory board members, federal entities, graduates, and faculty. The event included representatives from key employer and training partners and was inaugurated by Prof. Fares Howari, Dean of the College. It highlighted strong collaboration and a shared commitment to developing practice-oriented, internationally accredited programs.

Dental Students Strengthen Clinical Endodontics Skills

The Centre for Continuing Education organized a specialized endodontics training program titled “Endodontics Scientific Day: Root Canal Shaping Using BlueShaper Pro and Excalibur Pro,” bringing together dental practitioners and interns to enhance their clinical skills through a combination of scientific discussions and hands-on training in modern root canal techniques. The program featured a session by internationally recognized expert Prof. Stéphane Simon, sponsored by ZARC Company, who shared insights on advanced instrumentation and treatment protocols. The training was supervised by the university’s dentistry faculty and coordinated by Dr. Okba Mahmoud, offering participants practical exposure to the latest tools and techniques in endodontic treatment.
