In the presence of Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Ajman Municipality and Planning Department and Vice Chairman of Ajman University's Board of Trustees, Ajman University witnessed the signing of two agreements to amend and increase the allocations of the Mohammed Hussein Alshaali Endowment Scholarship Fund and the Fathy Afana Endowment Scholarship Fund. This step aims to strengthen the sustainability of both funds and increase the number of students benefiting from them. This initiative aligns with Ajman University’s mission as a non-profit higher education institution that prioritizes access to quality education. It also supports the development of skilled professionals who drive knowledge-based growth. The two endowment funds are designed to empower outstanding students who cannot afford the cost of their studies, enabling them to continue their education with confidence and fully pursue their academic journey, while preparing them to make meaningful contributions to their community. |

Ajman University Signs MoU with Ajman Transport Authority |

Ajman University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ajman Transport Authority to enhance cooperation in student training and research. The MoU was signed on behalf of Ajman University by Dr. Abdulhaq Al Nuaimi, Vice Chancellor for Communication and Community Affairs, and on behalf of the Ajman Transport Authority by Rasha Khalaf Al Shamsi, Executive Director of the Support Services Corporation. The partnership supports Ajman Vision 2030 by helping prepare national talent and advancing the transport sector in the Emirate. It also promotes joint research, practical training, and workshops that encourage expertise exchange and improve operational efficiency and service quality. |

The College of Humanities and Sciences Programs Earn ACQUIN International Accreditation |

|
|
The College of Humanities and Sciences has received prestigious international accreditations from leading European quality assurance bodies. The Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Social Work earned renewed accreditation from the French High Council for Evaluation of Research and Higher Education (HCERES), extending its validity until September 2033, while the Master of Digital Sociology also received international accreditation from HCERES. In addition, the Bachelor of Arts in Psychology was awarded international academic accreditation by the German Accreditation, Certification and Quality Assurance Institute (ACQUIN), valid until September 2031. These accreditations enhance the academic standing of the programs and confirm their alignment with European higher education standards. |

Dentistry Students Gain Hands-On Training in Pediatric Dentistry |
|
|
|
The College of Dentistry, in collaboration with the Center for Continuing Education and Enterprises (CCEE), organized a lecture and hands-on workshop titled “Simplifying Pediatric Dentistry.” The program featured Dr. Mukul Jain, Founder of Kids-e-Dental, and was delivered to Master of Science in Pediatric Dentistry and Fellowship Pediatric Dentistry residency students. The session introduced students to contemporary pediatric restorative materials and minimally invasive treatment approaches, including Bioflx and zirconia crowns, MTA applications, space maintainers, rotary pediatric endodontics, and Silver Diamine Fluoride (SDF). Students then participated in a practical training session in the Phantom Head Laboratory using simulation models to apply the techniques discussed. The workshop was conducted under the academic supervision of Dr. Raghavendra M. Shetty, Associate Professor at the College of Dentistry, with clinical support from Dr. Mohammed Alfarra, Clinical Instructor at the College of Dentistry. |

The College of Dentistry hosted a guest lecture by Dr. Sherif Mohamed Farouk Helal, who holds a doctoral degree from the University Clinic of Hamburg, Germany, and brings over four decades of experience in pediatric and preventive dentistry and dental public health. During the lecture, “Fluoride Alternatives,” students explored current challenges in caries prevention and learned about modern preventive approaches. The session strengthened their clinical understanding, enhanced their critical thinking, and supported their preparation for evidence-based practice in pediatric dentistry. |

The Center for Inclusive Learning in collaboration with the Teaching and Learning Center organized a workshop titled “Not All Barriers Are Visible: Teaching with Inclusion in Mind”. The session was delivered to faculty members by Dr. Dalia Bedewy, Associate Professor at the College of Humanities and Sciences and Director of the Center for Inclusive Learning; Samah Abusniemah, Psychological Counsellor; and Dr. Elham Yahia, Assistant Professor at the College of Humanities and Sciences. The workshop focused on raising awareness of invisible barriers that may impact students’ learning experiences and emphasized inclusive teaching strategies, accessible course design, and approaches that support diverse learning needs. |

The Office of Medical Services, in collaboration with Emirates Health Services – Al Hamidiya Medical Centre, launched the Quit Smoking Challenge Campaign to support community members in adopting healthier, smoke-free lifestyles. The campaign began with an awareness session delivered by Dr. Samer Mohieldin Nehlawi at the Medical Clinic, where participants were encouraged to take a Breath Carbon Monoxide Test to assess their smoking levels and track progress. |

Nursing students attended a session titled “Career Beyond Hospitals: Exploring Prehospital Care for Nursing Students,” delivered by Baha Mustafa, Operation Manager at National Ambulance. Through real case scenarios, they explored the differences between nursing and paramedic roles in prehospital care, learned about EMT and Paramedic certification pathways in the UAE, and engaged in an interactive Q&A session that expanded their understanding of career opportunities beyond hospital settings. |

Dental Students Conduct Orthodontic Consultation and Screening Camp |

|
As part of its community outreach efforts, the College of Dentistry organized, in collaboration with the Indian Association Sharjah, an Orthodontic Consultation and Screening Camp that engaged dental students and interns in hands-on practice. They screened around 120 patients, strengthened their clinical and communication skills, and promoted awareness of early orthodontic care. Patients received complimentary dental kits from Sunstar Gum and were offered discounted treatments at the College’s clinics. |
