Dr. Karim Seghir Shares Insights on Higher Education at the QS Eurasia Forum in Uzbekistan

Dr. Karim Seghir participated in the first QS Eurasia Forum held at Central Asian University in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, where he presented insights on the role of higher education in connecting East and West. He spoke on the panel titled “Crossroads: The Role of Higher Education in Eurasia in Connecting the East and the West,” emphasizing how universities in this region can grow into leading destinations for international students and researchers. He also noted that Central Asia is strongly committed to investing in future generations, much like the Arab region.

The AU+YOU Mapazine: Stories of Our Global Impact Together

Ajman University has introduced the AU+YOU “Mapazine,” an interactive digital map and magazine that highlights the university’s global impact through inspiring stories of research, community engagement, and alumni contributions. The platform showcases projects such as providing eye care services in Pakistan, faculty-led research on classroom air quality in Sweden, AI-powered dentistry developed with the University of Glasgow in Scotland, and AU students supporting the construction of sustainable homes in Burkina Faso. The AU+YOU experience presents a creative way to explore how Ajman University is making a positive difference around the world.

Dr. Ayman Kassem Contributes to ICOM Dubai 2025 with Lecture on Heritage Performance

Dr. Ayman Kassem, Assistant Professor at the College of Architecture Art and Design, participated in the ICOM Dubai 2025 conference as a speaker in the CAMOC committee session, held at the Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Centre for Cultural Understanding. He presented a lecture titled “Beyond Museumifications: Cultural Districts and Heritage Performance – Practices from the UAE,” highlighting how performative approaches to heritage conservation promote spatial adaptability, event-based activation, and community interaction as alternatives to static museumification.

Ajman University Students Excel at ITT 2025 Research Poster Competition

Ajman University participated in the 10th Conference on Information Technology Trends (ITT) at the Higher Colleges of Technology in Dubai, jointly organized with AU. Three AU teams were shortlisted for the Student Research Poster Showcase and Competition. Two BSc Biomedical Engineering teams supervised by Dr. Mujeeb Rahman and accompanied by Engr. Peter Yacoub presented innovative projects: one by Nasima Mohammad Helal and Jon Zaccary Regala won the Visual Communication and Design category for predicting heart attack risk using accessible health factors, while Leena Haithem Hassan Ahmed and Reham Rami Mohammed Alasais presented a digital twin–based advanced surgery model. A third IT team supervised by Dr. Mahmoud Hammad, consisting of Amnah Khaled, Lubna Aslam Sher, and Huda Mohammed Bilal, won the Presentation and Storytelling category for developing a digital twin framework for early plant disease detection.

Ajman University Celebrates the 54th Eid Al Etihad

Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, Chairman of the Executive Council, and Chairman of Ajman University’s Board of Trustees, Ajman University celebrated the 54th UAE National Day (Eid Al Etihad). The event brought together the AU family to honor the UAE’s heritage, culture, and achievements.


The celebration featured inspiring performances, including a heartfelt poem by Poet Abdullah Al Shamsi, live music from the Student Music Club, and a stunning National Day mosaic artwork by Fine Arts Center students. Esteemed organizations also contributed unique artifacts and displays, showcasing the UAE’s rich heritage, culture, and accomplishments.

The College of Architecture, Art and Design Participates in ICOM 2025 Conference

The College of Architecture, Art and Design participated in the 27th ICOM General Conference 2025 at the Dubai World Trade Centre under the theme “The Future of Museums in Rapidly Changing Communities.” The College showcased distinguished student projects in museum and exhibition design, which received strong recognition from experts and visitors. The AU booth was officially visited by Mr. Nasser Al Darmaki, Chairman of ICOM UAE, and Dr. Mona Al Ali, Vice President of ICOM, in appreciation of the students’ innovative work. The College also contributed to the scientific program by moderating the “Northern Emirates Networking Session” and several students participated in designing the ICOM UAE exhibition booth. 

The College of Medicine Participates in UAE Medical Education Conference at UAE University

A delegation from Ajman University’s College of Medicine participated in the 2nd Competencies for Medicine and Beyond Conference 2025 at UAE University in Al Ain. The event brought together experts from institutions including Johns Hopkins University (USA) and key medical educators from the region. Four AU faculty members presented the college’s achievements, showcasing its progress in medical education and competency-based learning.

Ajman University Selected for Six Innovation Partnerships at Innovation Bridge 2025

Ajman University has been selected for potential research collaborations in six industry-focused innovation projects during the first Innovation Bridge 2025 event held in Abu Dhabi and supported by Abu Dhabi Holdings, according to the organizers’ official output report. AU researchers were shortlisted for partnerships across key national sectors, including Abu Dhabi Ports and Emirates Steel, and two AU nanotechnology researchers were additionally nominated for a second innovation initiative, with the university submitting two more nominees and awaiting final selection. These outcomes highlight AU’s expanding role in driving industry–academia collaboration and advancing national research priorities through practical, high-impact solutions.

College of Law Students Engage in Session on Criminal Law Applications

The College of Law hosted H.E. Dr. Abdullah Mohammed Al Ali, First Prosecutor at Sharjah Public Prosecution, for a lecture titled “Criminal Law and Its Practical Applications.” During the session, Dr. Al Ali reviewed key concepts related to criminal law and offenses, highlighting how they are applied in real practice. He also presented judicial examples that reflect the challenges and precision required in interpreting and enforcing legal provisions. 

Dentistry Students Conduct Oral Health Screening at Al Shola School

Students from the Master of Science in Orthodontics program at the College of Dentistry conducted oral health screenings at Al Shola American School in Ajman, assessing students for malocclusion and dental caries while promoting early orthodontic care and oral hygiene. The visit included educational sessions and the distribution of oral care kits, reflecting AU’s commitment to community well-being and oral health awareness.

The College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences Participates in the 1st Emirates Pharmacy Society Conference in Dubai

The College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (COPHS) participated in the 1st Emirates Pharmacy Society (EPS) Conference in Dubai, held under the theme “Empowering Pharmacy for Health System Transformation and Future Readiness.” A delegation of the Dean, faculty members, and senior pharmacy students represented the College. COPHS received an Appreciation Award in recognition of its Knowledge Partnership, highlighting its role in advancing pharmaceutical education and practice across the UAE.

College of Mass Communication Students Visit Sharjah Broadcasting Authority

The College of Mass Communication organized a field visit to the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority under the supervision of Dr. Amal Badr, Associate Professor. The visit aimed to enhance collaboration with media organizations and provide students with practical industry experience. During the visit, students attended a specialized scriptwriting workshop delivered by Mr. Hussein Shaheen Abdullah, Acting Programs Manager at Sharjah TV’s Second Channel. The workshop introduced stages of TV program production, types of broadcast content, and the technologies used in studios and control rooms, with hands-on practice using real script samples.

Accounting & Finance Students Engage in Global Sustainable Finance Summit

Accounting and Finance students participated in the World Investment Conference and Sharjah Investment Forum (WIC-SIF) 2025 in Sharjah under the theme “Transforming Our World: Investing for a Resilient and Sustainable Future.” The event brought together international leaders and sustainability experts to discuss strategies for sustainable finance and economic resilience. Through keynote sessions, panels, and networking opportunities, students gained valuable exposure to the connection between finance and sustainability, reinforcing their understanding of global trends. The participation was organized under the FACT Club.

Mass Communication Students Visit "Knowledge Summit 2025"

The College of Mass Communication organized a field visit to the 10th Knowledge Summit 2025 at the Dubai World Trade Centre under the supervision of Dr. Amal Badr, Associate Professor. Students attended sessions and workshops focused on innovation, future foresight, and the knowledge economy, and they documented the visit through media content such as videos and reports, gaining practical experience that supports their professional skills.

The Office of Medical Services Celebrates World Diabetes Day 

The Office of Medical Services marked World Diabetes Day with a health awareness event at the AU Medical Clinic in partnership with Saudi German Hospital–Ajman and Dr. Nutrition. AU community members received free health services, including vital checks, blood sugar and cholesterol tests, body composition analysis, and nutrition counseling provided by Dr Nutrition, focusing on diabetes prevention and lifestyle management.

The College of Business Administration Hosts a Workshop on Generative AI and Career Readiness

The Department of Management and Marketing at the College of Business Administration, in collaboration with INJAZ UAE, hosted a workshop led by alumnus and full-stack AI developer Ali Saeed (Class of 2022). The session introduced students to practical Generative AI skills, focusing on prompt engineering and tools such as Microsoft Copilot and GitHub Copilot. Students learned how to ethically use AI to support academic work and software development, applying these tools to solve real campus challenges and connect theory with professional practice.
