The Center for Inclusive Learning Hosts “Voices Magazine: Brave Whispers” Signing Ceremony

The Center for Inclusive Learning at the Deanship of Student Services organized the Voices Magazine: Brave Whispers signing ceremony. The event was attended by Dr. Karim Seghir, Chancellor of Ajman University, and Dr. Hind Al Rostamani, Founder and CEO of Aman Lil Afia Clinic, along with Cabinet members, college deans, faculty, and students. The ceremony celebrated Ajman University students with disabilities who authored inspiring stories of courage, determination, and hope, reflecting the University’s enduring commitment to inclusion, empowerment, and the celebration of diversity within its community.

Ajman University Signs MoU with AFAQ Group

Ajman University has signed a MoU with AFAQ Group, represented by Dr. Karim Seghir, Chancellor of Ajman University, and Ms. Ayesha A Sayed, Executive Director of AFAQ Group. The partnership aims to provide AU students with practical training opportunities and career development pathways, supporting the University’s commitment to real-world learning, academic excellence, and industry collaboration.


Ajman University Signs MoU with Revitalife Compounding Pharmacy

Ajman University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Revitalife Compounding Pharmacy, represented by Dr. Karim Seghir, Chancellor of Ajman University, and Dr. Guillaume Safah, CEO of Revitalife Compounding Pharmacy. The partnership aims to enhance clinical exposure, hands-on learning, and research opportunities in the field of pharmaceutical sciences, reinforcing AU’s commitment to bridging academia with industry and preparing students to excel in high-impact healthcare fields.

Ajman University Joins Digital Education Council

Ajman University welcomed Dr. Alessandro Di Lullo, CEO of the Digital Education Council (DEC), and Gabriella Soh to campus to mark AU’s official membership in the DEC through the Teaching and Learning Center. AU became one of the first institutions in the region to join this forward-looking initiative. This membership strengthens AU’s commitment to advancing digital education by providing faculty and students with enriched resources, global collaboration and opportunities.

Sheikha Dr. Nahla Al Qassimi Participates in “Mothers Without Borders: The Phenomenology of Mothers’ Soft Power in Peace Building”

Sheikha Dr. Nahla Al Qassimi, Associate Professor in the Department of Architecture at the College of Architecture, Art and Design, Dean of Student Services, and Chair of the Women Empowerment Council, represented Ajman University at the international conference “Mothers Without Borders: The Phenomenology of Mothers’ Soft Power in Peace Building.” The conference was held across Wellesley College, Harvard University, and MIT. At Wellesley College, she delivered a keynote on how motherhood shapes peace, nurtures societies, and bridges generations. At Harvard, she emphasized youth as key contributors to a peaceful future, and at MIT, she discussed how empathy-driven technology can strengthen soft power and social impact—reflecting AU’s commitment to global collaboration, women’s empowerment, and youth leadership.

Dr. Amer Al Ani Represents Ajman University at International Surgery Conference

Dr. Amer Al Ani, Head of the Clinical Sciences Department at the College of Medicine, represented Ajman University at the 53rd Conference of the Jordanian Society of Surgery in Amman, Jordan. During the event, he presented two research studies: one showcasing the growing role of artificial intelligence in laparoscopic surgery, and another emphasizing the impact of peer teaching in improving students’ surgical performance.

Ajman University Welcomes New Student Council Board

Dr. Karim Seghir, Chancellor of Ajman University, met with the newly elected Student Council Board for the 2025–26 academic year to welcome them and wish them success. He emphasized the importance of leaving a meaningful legacy and encouraged members to make outstanding contributions.  Dr. Karim also asked the board to develop 30-, 60-, and 90-day action plans and proposed holding monthly meetings to review progress and support their initiatives.

The College of Law Holds Advisory Board Meeting

The College of Law convened its Advisory Board meeting to strengthen collaboration with leading figures from the legal and judicial sectors. The board includes distinguished members such as Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Ajman Port and Customs Department and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the International Charity Organisation, and Prof. Khaled Assaleh, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, along with prominent legal experts, deans of law schools, and senior executives from both government and private sectors. The meeting focused on reviewing recent achievements, discussing strategic priorities, enhancing partnerships with professional bodies, and gathering expert recommendations to support the continuous development of the college’s academic programs, research, and community engagement.

Ajman University Board of Trustees Committee for Academic Affairs Holds First Meeting of 2025–26  

The Ajman University Board of Trustees Committee for Academic Affairs held its first meeting for the Academic Year 2025–26 and discussed recent developments in academic affairs at Ajman University, including major achievements, the introduction of new academic programs, and the approval of revised / new academic policies. The Committee was chaired by H.E. Dr. Raja Al Gurg, Chairperson and Managing Director of Easa Saleh Al Gurg Group, and its members include H.E. Mr. Rashed Abdulrahman Sultan Bin Jebran Alsuwaidi, Member of the Ajman Government Executive Council and Director-General of the Human Resources Department, Ajman Government; H.E. Dr. Dalya Al Muthanna, CEO and Managing Director of Alstom GCC; and Prof. Khaled Assaleh, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs.

Ajman University Hosts the Fine Arts Carnival and the University Creativity Festival

Ajman University hosted the Fine Arts Carnival 2025 at the Sheikh Zayed Center, bringing together artists and students from across the campus. The event, inaugurated by Prof. Khaled Assaleh, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Mohammed Helal, Director of the Office of Student Life, aimed to support artistic exchange and inspire student creativity. Under the theme “Expressive Art,” the carnival showcased more than 200 artworks by over 30 international artists, while also featuring the University Creativity Festival with six participating universities, a visual arts competition, and hands-on workshops that enriched students’ artistic skills.

White Coat Ceremony Welcomes Medical Students into the Profession

Students at the College of Medicine celebrated the White Coat Ceremony for MD Year 3 students, marking their transition into the clinical phase of their medical journey. During the ceremony, the students took the Hippocratic Oath, a milestone that signifies the beginning of hands-on training, increased professional responsibility, and a deepened commitment to compassionate patient care.

The Center for Inclusive Learning Highlights Student Experience on White Cane Day

The Center for Inclusive Learning organized White Cane Awareness Day, highlighting the participation of student Hamdan Alblooshi, who joined the campus walk alongside visually impaired students, faculty, and staff. Hamdan expressed pride in taking part in an event that recognizes the white cane as a symbol of independence and confidence. Sighted participants walked blindfolded with white canes to better understand the daily challenges faced by visually impaired students, fostering empathy and respect across the community. Hamdan noted that the experience strengthened his sense of belonging and support on campus and reinforced the importance of continuing such initiatives to promote an inclusive and understanding university environment.

The College of Mass Communication Hosts Nanyang Technological University Delegation to Explore Avenues of Collaboration

The College of Mass Communication welcomed a delegation from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, to explore collaboration in research and academic exchange. The delegation included Prof. Jack Qiu and Dr. Choy Kiyoung Lee from the highly ranked Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information. The meeting focused on joint research opportunities, student and faculty mobility, and innovative academic initiatives that support excellence in media and communication education. The visit was coordinated by Dr. Safa Osman and Dr. Alya Anter.

Students Gain Real-World Media Experience with Sky News Arabia

Students at the College of Mass Communication enhanced their digital media skills through a collaboration with professionals from the job market. Mr. Abanoub Emad from Sky News Arabia co-taught the “Storytelling and Content Writing for Social Media” course alongside Dr. Alyaa Anter, Associate Professor in the Digital Media Master’s Program. This initiative provided students with practical insights into professional media workflows and strengthened their employability by aligning their skills with the evolving demands of the media job market.

Green Narratives

Masar Career Excellence Empowers Students for Sustainable Growth

Masar Career Excellence offered students a dynamic introduction to sustainability and its role in shaping future careers. The session, led by Dr. Abhishek Shukla, PhD Research Scholar, explored the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the “Five P’s” of Sustainable Development. It highlighted how technology, equality, and climate action worked together to drive innovation and support green entrepreneurship. Students also learned how to apply sustainability principles to promote inclusive growth and environmental responsibility in their future professions.
