Ajman University has achieved another milestone in its distinguished journey with the renewal of its International Institutional Accreditation by the UK’s Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA). This achievement reaffirms AU’s position as one of the leading institutions regionally and globally in academic quality assurance. The University first obtained this prestigious accreditation in 2020 for a five-year term.

Dr. Amer Al Ani Showcases AU College of Medicine’s Research at International Surgical Congress

Dr. Amer Hashim Hassan Al Ani, Clinical Assistant Professor and Head of Clinical and Medical Education, represented Ajman University at the 5th International Congress of the American College of Surgeons UAE Chapter. He chaired two sessions and presented two research papers: “The Impact of Peer Teaching on Undergraduate Medical Students’ Performance in Basic Surgical Skills Sessions” and “Reimagining Pilonidal Sinus Surgery: The Power of Pit Picking in a Single Outpatient Session.” His participation underscores Ajman University’s commitment to advancing research in medical education and surgical practice and highlights the College of Medicine’s active contribution to international academic platforms.

Dr. Dalia Bedewy Highlights AU Research on Compulsive Buying at Scopus-Indexed ICSHE Conference

Dr. Dalia Bedewy, Associate Professor at the College of Humanities and Sciences, represented Ajman University at the 11th International Conference on Social Sciences, Humanities and Education (ICSHE), a Scopus-indexed event held in Paris, France. She presented her research titled “Compulsive Buying in the United Arab Emirates: Variations Across Age, Gender, Income, Nationality, and Residence,” which explores key demographic factors shaping compulsive buying behaviors. This research is significant as it sheds light on a growing public health concern linked to anxiety and depression, offering evidence-based insights for prevention and counseling strategies. Ajman University Students Win Third Place at Smart Mobile Application Contest 2025

Computer Engineering students from the College of Engineering won third place at the prestigious Smart Mobile Application Contest (SMAC 2025) hosted by Khalifa University, where 86 teams from across the UAE competed and only 23 were shortlisted. The AU team “EarthPluse,” comprising Sedra Wattar and Adonay Gebremedhin, presented their project PlanetWatch—an AI-powered sustainability companion that enables citizens to capture and report environmental challenges such as pollution, floods, and waste in real time, bridging communities and governments through actionable insights that support disaster management and sustainable resource allocation.

Ajman University Hosts Community Council on Emirati Values and Behaviors

Ajman University hosted the Community Council for university students, organized by Ajman Police under the theme “The Document of Emirati Citizen’s Values and Behaviors.” The event engaged AU students in discussions aimed at strengthening their role in serving the community and promoting awareness among its members. This collaboration reflects the active partnership between Ajman University and Ajman Police in developing purposeful initiatives, supporting national values, and fostering positive behaviors that enhance community awareness.

Ajman University Showcases Programs at the GCC Exhibition 2025

Ajman University participated in the GCC Exhibition 2025 in Abu Dhabi, providing an excellent platform to showcase its programs and offerings while engaging with prospective students across the region. AU’s Simulation Week Provides Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Dentistry, and Biomedical Engineering Students with Real-World Training

The College of Medicine hosted Healthcare Simulation Week, an international event celebrated annually by the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH). The Student Success Center Welcomes Engineering & IT Students

The Student Success Center hosted an orientation session for College of Engineering & IT students, introducing them to key support services. The session highlighted Peer Tutoring, Academic Twinning, workshops, digital tools, and leadership opportunities designed to enhance their academic and professional journey. The Office of International Academic Affairs Welcomes Delegation from Lovely Professional University

The Office of International Academic Affairs hosted a visit for 60 postgraduate management students and faculty from the GNIOT Institute of Management Studies (GIMS), India. During their visit, the delegation attended interactive sessions led by AU faculty, including Dr. Mohamed Jassim on Human Intelligence vs. AI – The Future of HR, Dr. Fadi Tahboush on Funding Sustainable Projects, and Dr. Muhammad Siddiqui on Marketing in the Age of AI. The sessions offered valuable insights into the latest trends in technology, innovation, and management, and received highly positive feedback from both students and faculty. The College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences Organizes Preceptor Orientation to Strengthen Student Career Readiness

The Student Success Center Hosts Faculty Liaisons Meeting to Enhance Student Outcomes

The Student Success Centre at the Deanship of Student Services, welcomed the college faculty liaisons to discuss their roles in advancing student success. Key updates were shared on the Peer Tutoring Program (PTP), Academic Twinning Program (ATP), and other SSC initiatives. Faculties were encouraged to recruit peer tutors, activate the ATP using student data, and appoint peer leaders to ensure smoother coordination within their colleges. The meeting concluded with appreciation for the liaisons’ efforts and a reaffirmation of the Centre’s commitment to Ajman University’s mission of academic excellence and student development.

The College of Humanities and Sciences Welcomes New Digital Sociology Cohort

Dr. Fares Howari, Dean of the College of Humanities and Sciences, welcomed the new cohort of students enrolled in the pioneering Master of Digital Sociology program.
