AU Among Top 301-400 Globally in THE’s 2025 Impact Rankings |

Ajman University has achieved a new global milestone by ranking in the 301–400 band in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2025, which assess how universities contribute to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This prestigious and trusted international ranking includes 2,526 universities from 130 countries worldwide. At the national level, Ajman University made notable progress, rising to 4th place in the UAE, moving up three positions from its 2024 ranking. The University delivered an exceptional performance across several SDGs. It ranked #16 globally and #1 in the UAE for SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals –the only mandatory SDG for all participating institutions in the Impact Rankings. This goal requires universities to submit a comprehensive report demonstrating their contributions to all SDGs. Ajman University also advanced from the Top 400 to the Top 200 globally in SDG 3: Good Health and Wellbeing, securing the 1st position nationally. Additionally, the University maintained its position in the Top 200 globally for SDG 13: Climate Action, continuing to lead among UAE universities in this area. |

Ajman University Library launched the “Donate Your Textbook” initiative at the start of the 2024/2025 academic year to support students in need of academic resources. Four donation boxes were placed across campus to encourage students to contribute textbooks they no longer use. The initiative successfully collected a significant number of books, which were distributed to students who are unable to purchase them. The library plans to continue the initiative annually, fostering a spirit of sharing and community support within the university. |

Led by faculty member Osama Abu Salah, the sessions feature industry experts presenting the “Introduction to AI – by Google” microlearning course, which introduces the fundamentals of Generative AI, its differences from traditional machine learning, and how to apply Google tools effectively. Masar Career Excellence, in collaboration with the Department of Languages & Culture at the College of Humanities and Sciences, hosted acclaimed Emirati author Salha Obaid for a thought-provoking session titled “The Art of Expression: A Journey Through Creative Writing and Literature.” The workshop aimed to ignite creativity, promote storytelling, and help students view writing as a meaningful form of personal and cultural expression. The session, moderated by Ms. Hanaa Mansour, brought together students from Academic Writing, Advanced English Writing, and others passionate about literature, who engaged directly with Ms. Obaid as she shared her creative journey. Through her reflections on writing, revision, and the intersection of engineering and literature, students gained a deeper understanding of the writing process. The session helped them see that writing is not only an academic skill, but also a tool for building voice, identity, and resilience. |

The award recognizes her pioneering research on early diagnosis and risk assessment of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) using predictive models based on hormonal, metabolic, and anthropometric markers. Her work, funded by AU, aims to improve clinical outcomes in women’s health and has earned her global recognition, including a Top 2% Scientist ranking by Stanford University. |
