A group of Mass Communication students from Ajman University is currently immersed in a dynamic, week-long experience in Philadelphia, engaging with peers and professors from Klein College of Media and Communication at Temple University - one of the largest and most prestigious media schools in the United States. This exciting exchange is part of AU’s active and growing partnership with Temple University, designed to equip students with global perspectives and real-world skills. Throughout the week, students are participating in hands-on workshops and newsroom simulations that place them at the center of fast-paced media environments. |

Dr. Ibrahim El Serafi Wins the "Thumbay International Research Grant 2025" in the Field of Regenerative Medicine |

Dr. Ibrahim El Serafi, Associate Professor and Head of Basic Medical Sciences Department at the College of Medicine, Ajman University, has been awarded the Thumbay International Research Grant 2025 to fund his research project titled: “The role of Vorinostat and CID1067700 in skin regeneration and wound healing”. The project focuses on testing the effects of these two drug compounds on stem cells to determine their ability to stimulate differentiation into keratinocytes, cells responsible for forming the skin. Through this research, the investigator aims to contribute to developing effective and innovative therapeutic solutions for chronic wounds. |

Dr. A. Nagaletchimee Annamalai, Visiting Scholar from the Department of Languages and Culture, College of Humanities and Sciences, was awarded the Bronze Medal at the International Conference on Global Education (ICGEX1) for her innovative research project titled “Hello There! Can You Hear Me? Improving ESL Narrative Writing with Socratic Questioning and Video Feedback.“ The project explores how integrating Socratic questioning and video-based feedback can enhance critical thinking and student engagement in ESL narrative writing. Her achievement highlights Ajman University’s commitment to academic excellence and the global impact of its research community. |

The College of Architecture, Art and Design Collaborates with Al Zorah Development on Real-World Student Project |

Ajman University’s College of Architecture, Art and Design concluded a successful collaboration with Al Zorah Development (Private) Company, offering first-year Architecture students a real-world design experience. As part of their Design I course, students developed proposals for a contemporary villa within the Al Zorah masterplan in Ajman, using real site data provided by the company. Despite the site’s complex topography, students demonstrated strong creativity and critical thinking, integrating both physical and digital tools in their designs. The final jury featured distinguished external experts who provided valuable feedback. Led by Mrs. Nashwa Shqiwarah and Ms. Noor Al Yafei, and supervised by Dr. Jihad Awad, the initiative reflects the College’s dedication to hands-on learning and industry engagement. |

Ajman University Participates in Ajman’s Carbon Neutrality Strategy Forum at ASDIF 2025 |

Dr. Muna Salameh represented Ajman University as an expert panelist in a closed-door session on “Ajman Strategy for Carbon Neutrality,” held at the Ajman X Center as part of the Ajman Sustainable Development International Forum (ASDIF 2025). Organized by the Environment & Development Department of the Municipality & Planning Department – Ajman, the session gathered academics, government officials, and industry leaders to assess progress, challenges, and opportunities in achieving carbon neutrality. Dr. Salameh contributed insights from her research on passive design strategies, green infrastructure, and sustainable urban development, emphasizing adaptive building practices and community engagement. Her participation reflects Ajman University’s ongoing commitment to advancing sustainability through research, teaching, and policy collaboration. |
