Abdullah Al Mazrouei, member of the University’s Board of Trustees, H.E. Dr. Saeed Saif Al Matrooshi, Secretary General of Ajman Executive Council, and Dr. Karim Seghir, Chancellor of Ajman University. An engaging intercollegiate debate titled "Artificial Intelligence: A Force for Progress or a Threat to Humanity?" was recently held between the College of Humanities and Sciences (Languages and Culture Department) and the College of Business Administration (Management Department). Twelve students participated, forming affirmative and negative teams that showcased excellent preparation, teamwork, and critical thinking across two rounds. Participants demonstrated strong research skills, analytical depth, and persuasive communication as they explored both the promises and perils of AI. The event fostered an atmosphere of respectful dialogue and academic excellence. A final and decisive third round is set to take place next week, celebrating the outstanding efforts of all involved. |

Amer Bassam, Project & Quality Lead at a leading regional hospitality fit-out contractor. Invited by Dr. Maged Saad, Eng. Bassam delivered an insightful session titled "Driving Excellence Through Practical Quality Management" as part of the Total Quality Management course. He shared real-world applications of quality management in the construction of one of Dubai’s landmark hotels, highlighting the impact of lean construction and process optimization on value creation and waste reduction. The session offered students hands-on exposure to quality practices in high-profile projects and underscored the link between quality, innovation, and sustainability—contributing to SDGs 4, 8, 9, 11, 12, and 17. |
