Ajman University Students on an Educational Visit to the Gulf University in Bahrain

As part of Ajman University's commitment to fostering international cooperation and enhancing the skills of its students, the University organized an educational trip for students from the College of Mass Communication to the Kingdom of Bahrain. Under the supervision of Dr. Safa Othman, Associate Professor and Coordinator of the Radio and Television Production Specialization, the students visited the Gulf University. The trip aimed to explore modern media practices and broaden students' perspectives in media and communication. Prof. Dr. Alaa Al-Rawashdeh, a sociology professor, participated in the 22nd Conference on International Exchange of Professionals in Shanghai, China. Architect Jamal Hamsho, an alumnus of the College of Architecture, Art, and Design, showcased his art furniture at the UAE Designer Exhibition 5.0 during Dubai Design Week 2024. Held at Downtown Design, the exhibition featured over 30 talented UAE creatives. Inspired by Brutalism, Jamal’s work combined concrete and steel, blending functionality with minimalist aesthetics. His participation reflected the creativity and excellence our alumni bring to the design world, highlighting the high employability and global impact of our graduates in the design industry.

The College of Architecture, Art and Design Hosts Third Engineering Forum on Sustainable Mosque Architecture

The College of Architecture, Art, and Design, in collaboration with the Society of Engineering UAE and Al Turath Al Omrani Engineering Consultants, hosted the third Engineering Forum, "Towards the Future of Sustainable Mosque Architecture." The event explored sustainable mosque design through techniques, challenges, and case studies from local and international contexts.

Academic cooperation between the College of Mass Communication and the College of Humanities and Sciences

Within the framework of academic cooperation and exchange of experiences between faculty members at Ajman University, Dr. Amal Badr, Associate Professor at the College of Mass Communication, participated in a lecture entitled (Effective Communication in the Workplace) for students of the Industrial Psychology course; under the supervision of Dr. Dalia Bedewy​, Associate Professor at the College of Humanities and Sciences. The Architecture Department Hosts Presentation on AI Rendering

The Architecture Department hosted a presentation by Mr. Mohammed Mahmood, Design Manager at Khatib Alami, on "Revolutionizing Architectural Visualization with D5 Render & AI." The session, hosted by Mr. Firas Noori and Dr. Raghad Mourad, covered D5 Render’s AI-powered features and their impact on architectural visualization. Topics included D5’s capabilities, AI integration, and real-world applications. This event offered valuable insights into innovative advancements in architectural rendering.

The Office of Student Housing and the Office of Medical Services, in collaboration with Thumbay University Hospital, hosted World Diabetes Day at the AU Female Dormitory under the theme "For a Better Life with Diabetes." The event offered health assessments, including blood pressure, blood sugar testing, BMI checks, and counseling, aligning with SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being.  This initiative underscores AU's commitment to promoting health awareness and fostering a supportive environment for student well-being.

The Office of Community Engagement Celebrates International Day of Tolerance with Meal Distribution to Workers

In celebration of the International Day of Tolerance, the Office of Community Engagement collaborated with Food ATM Kitchen to organize a meal distribution for over 660 workers after Friday prayers. The volunteers were actively involved in both packing the meals and distributing them to the workers, demonstrating a strong sense of community and solidarity. This event reflected the core values of tolerance, compassion, and mutual support, bringing people together to make a positive impact on the lives of those in need.

The College of Business Administration Hosts a Workshop on Sustainability Risk Management

The Department of Management at the College of Business Administration invited Mr. Manosiji Ganguli - Chief Sustainability Officer at Aramex to deliver a workshop on risk sustainability for Business Research Methods students. Mr. Ganguli promoted an interesting discussion with students focusing on climate change and sustainability reporting. Students have gained insights into the latest strategies that Aramex is implementing regarding sustainability which can be incorporated into their course project on sustainability risk management.
