Prof. Mustahsan conducted a workshop at the annual Quality Assurance and Institutional Effectiveness conference, Explorance Bluenotes MENA 2024, which was held on November 7, 2024, at the Zayed University campus in Dubai, UAE. The workshop was attended by a large number of participants from academic institutions within and outside the UAE. He explained the development of program-level benchmarking process, initiated by Higher Education Benchmarking Consortium (HEBC), for four different disciplines; Engineering, IT, Health Sciences and Business & Management. Ajman University is one of the three founding institutions that established the Higher Education Benchmarking Consortium (HEBC), which now has more than 30 member institutions in 6 different countries. |

He is the Executive Chairman of IBAG in Egypt and President of the Sarhank Group for Investments, as well as a Fellow at the Olsson Center for Applied Ethics at the University of Virginia. Dr. Sarhank introduced his Sufi Corporate Leadership Model, which combines spiritual self-awareness with modern management practices. In his presentation, he emphasized the connection between responsible management and long-term business success, inspiring graduate students and faculty members with insights on ethical, purpose-driven leadership for sustainable growth. |

Under the guidance of the Office of Sustainability, students Doaa Al Alimi, Bibi Hashimi, and Shaima Hussein won first prize in Khalifa University’s annual Green Campus Competition. Their innovative project integrates HEPA filters, air-purifying plants, and UV-C lights for cleaner air. The system uses solar-powered energy to sustain plants such as the Snake Plant and Aloe Vera, and features sensors and an app for data collection and automated care. This eco-friendly solution promotes sustainability and aligns with UN SDGs for Good Health and Well-being, Sustainable Cities and Communities, Climate Action, and Partnerships for the Goals. |
