Ajman University Signs an MoU with Loyola College to Enhance International Exchange Opportunities for Ajman University Students and Faculty

Ajman University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Chennai, India-based Loyola College. The MoU aims to facilitate student and faculty exchanges, collaborative research, and joint courses and programs with Loyola College, a top-ranked educational institution in India. This agreement highlights Ajman University's commitment to global academic excellence and enhanced international collaboration.

The Deanship of Student Services Organizes the Convocation Ceremony

The Deanship of Student Services hosted a vibrant Convocation Ceremony for new students and their parents. The event started with the national anthem, a Quranic recitation, and videos highlighting the University’s achievements and student life. Dr. Karim Seghir, Chancellor, and Dr. Khaled Assaleh, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, delivered welcoming and motivational speeches. Student representative Huraira from the College of Medicine inspired the attendees with her positive experiences and encouraged active participation in university activities. The ceremony concluded with a tour of the University’s academic facilities, allowing students and parents to explore labs, classrooms, and other key areas.

The Deanship of Student Services Hosts Orientation Week

The Deanship of Student Services hosted a comprehensive Orientation Week for new students, featuring events from various university offices. The Counseling Unit offered workshops on mental health, while the Office of Medical Services introduced campus health services. The Office of Student Life organized the Student Life Open House, Fine Arts and Athletics Orientations, and a trip to Ajman Museum, plus a session on UAE heritage and modernity. The Office of International Academic Affairs held a special orientation for international students, the Student Success Center provided workshops highlighting the center's role in supporting students and enhancing their academic success, and the Office of Sustainability led a session on Emergency Preparedness and Climate Action.

The Deanship of Student Services hosted an orientation session titled "Succeeding at AU," featuring Prof. Khaled Assaleh, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs; and Dr. Nahla Al Qassimi, Dean of Student Services. Alongside representatives from the University's administrative offices, they provided valuable insights and tips. The session aimed to guide new students on academic requirements, support services, campus life, and co-curricular activities, offering essential information to support their journey at Ajman University.

The Office of Community Engagement and International Charity Organization Host Back to School Shopping for Orphans

The Office of Community Engagement, in partnership with the International Charity Organization, hosted a "Back to School Shopping" event at Ajman City Centre as part of Ajman University's welcome celebrations. Dedicated student volunteers assisted the children in selecting essential school supplies, including bags, stationery, and shoes, and each child received a 250 AED voucher. This initiative aimed to positively impact the students' lives, offering them renewed hope and support for the new school year.
