Dr. Karim Seghir Engages in MENA-HELF's Presidential Panel on Leadership Strategies for Engaged Universities


Dr. Karim Seghir, Chancellor of Ajman University, participated in the Presidential Panel titled "Leadership Strategies for Engaged Universities: Driving Engagement, Fostering Innovation, and Leading Transformative Change" at the 6th MENA Higher Education Leadership Forum (MENA-HELF) held in Dubai. The panel focused on driving engagement, fostering innovation, and leading transformative change in universities. Dr. Seghir's insightful contributions were instrumental in advancing the forum's theme, 'Towards a New Generation of Engaged Universities: The Imperative to Act, Adapt, and Transform.'



Prof. Khaled Assaleh Joins MENA-HELF as Panelist


Prof. Khaled Assaleh, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, participated as a panelist in the MENA-HELF session titled 'Embracing Technology in Learning and Teaching: Rethinking Pedagogy for the Digital Age.' Sharing insights from Ajman University's digital transformation journey, he joined other esteemed academic and industrial leaders to discuss the influence of technology on teaching methods and student learning. Prof. Assaleh emphasized the adaptability of Higher Education Institutions to the dynamic job market, underlining the significance of incorporating modern teaching practices and AI-driven tools to prepare graduates for successful careers.

The College of Architecture, Art, and Design Launches Nolte Kitchen Design Competition

Ajman University's College of Architecture, Art, and Design has announced the launch of the Nolte Kitchen Design Competition in collaboration with Nolte Kitchens. The competition aims to inspire creativity and innovation among interior design students, providing them with a platform to explore new collaboration avenues and showcase their design skills. Through a recent instructive workshop, Nolte Kitchens introduced students to their kitchen designs and materials, incorporating cutting-edge design technology and emphasizing modern design principles and material selection. 

The College of Architecture, Art, and Design Hosts Al Zorah Mosque Competition

The College of Architecture, Art, and Design, in collaboration with Al Zorah City Private Development, hosted the Al Zorah Mosque Competition, providing students with a platform to showcase their talents and gain practical experience. Under the guidance of Dean Dr. Riad Saraiji, the competition integrated theoretical learning with hands-on application, preparing students for successful careers in architecture and design. The winning projects, led by Dana Binmahmood, Asma Alhermoodi, and Majd Albayed in first place, Mohammed Alrahmani and Noura Elbagalaty in second place, and Julia Sidawi and Abdulrazzak Mohammad in third place, highlight the excellence and creativity fostered at the college.

Ajman University Emerges as One of the Top Three UAE Institutions in Global Sustainability Drive

Ajman University has achieved global sustainability leadership by attaining committed institution status in the UN Environment Program’s and High-Level Champion’s “Race to Zero for Universities” initiative, making it one of only three universities in the UAE and 553 globally leading institutions committed to reaching net-zero greenhouse gas emissions. This achievement is the result of the University’s collaborative efforts with the Office of Sustainability to reduce its carbon footprint and publicly disclose its CO2 emissions. As a result, the University has been promoted from a member to a committed institution in the initiative.

Under the patronage and in the presence of H.H. Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, Chairman of the Executive Council, and Chairman of the Ajman University’s Board of Trustees, Ajman University is gearing up for its 2024 Reunion Gala. The event is scheduled for Sunday, April 21, 2024, at 6:30 P.M., at the Sheikh Zayed Center for Conferences and Exhibitions. This gala carries significant importance as it aligns with the University's transition to a non-profit institution. Furthermore, it will mark the inauguration of the "Education Matters Fund," dedicated to supporting underprivileged students and ensuring their access to quality education.

Ajman University to Host Family and Society Conference

Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, Ajman University is preparing for the 1st Edition Family and Society Conference (FSC), organized by the Humanities and Social Sciences Research Centre and the College of Humanities and Sciences in collaboration with the Emirates Association for Social Development and Université Paris Cité. This conference aims to explore the intersections of family dynamics and digital transformation. The event is scheduled for April 24-25, 2024, at the Sheikh Zayed Center for Conferences and Exhibitions.
