Ammar Al Nuaimi Chairs the Meeting of Ajman University Board of Trustees

His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Ajman Executive Council, chaired the meeting of Ajman University’s Board of Trustees held at the University’s premises in the presence of Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Ajman Municipality and Planning Department and Vice Chairman of Ajman University's Board of Trustees. His Highness reviewed the University's achievements. 

On the other hand, a memorandum of understanding was signed between Ajman Executive Council and Ajman University to foster constructive cooperation between the two entities, facilitate the exchange of experiences, and enhance technical and scientific capabilities in various fields of research.

Ajman University Professors Named among Top 2% Scientists in the World

Ajman University has achieved a remarkable milestone by having 11 of its faculty members listed in Stanford University's 2023 database of the world's top 2% scientists. Among these, four have been recognized for their long-term research contributions and sustained impact, including Prof. Khaled Assaleh, Prof. Shaher Momani, Prof. Mohammed Al Betar, and Prof. Mohammed Deriche.

Dr. Nahla Al Qassimi Joins the World Federation of Engineering Organizations

Dr. Nahla Al Qassimi, Dean of Student Affairs and Associate Professor at the College of Architecture, Art, and Design, has been selected as a member of the World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO), a prestigious global body dedicated to advancing the engineering profession. Her affiliation with WFEO will undoubtedly enhance the college's reputation and foster international collaborations.

Dr. Akram Ashames Highlights Ajman University's Student-Centric Approach at Coursera Summit MEA 2023

Dr. Akram Ashames, Assistant Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, recently delivered a keynote speech at the Coursera Summit MEA 2023 held in Dubai. His presentation shed light on the University's strategy to equip students with professional certificates from global industry leaders.

Inas Abou Sharkh Speaks at the Digital Universities MENA Event

Inas Abousharkh, Director of Information Technology, participated in the Digital Universities MENA Conference in Riyadh, a collaboration between Prince Sultan University and the Times Higher Education. She discussed the importance of data in decision-making processes and its impact on improving educational and learning outcomes.

Mohamed Abdelhady Shines Light on AU’s Value Proposition in GCC Talk

In a recent interview with the GCC Exhibition for Training and Education, Mohamed Abdelhady, Director of Strategic Communications, Marketing and Student Recruitment at Ajman University, highlighted AU's diverse programs, student successes, and institutional achievements. He also shared insights into AU's future plans, emphasizing its leading role in the GCC educational sector.

Sheikha Salem Al-Duwish: Winner of the Influential Leader Under 40 

Sheikha Salem Al-Duwish ‘22 has been honored as the winner of the Influential Leader Under 40 Award by the International Police Chiefs Association in the United States. Notably, Sheikha is the first woman at Ajman Police to earn a Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence.

Ajman University Students Redefine Architectural Innovation with Dubai Water Canal Bridge Model

Students from the College of Architecture, Art and Design showcased creativity by reconstructing Dubai Water Canal Bridge in a project for the Generative/Parametric Design Course. Their dynamic design allows swift length adjustments while preserving core features.

Nada Awad Taha Wins at Pioneer 4.0 Hackathon with Innovative Inspection System

Nada Awad Taha, student at the College of Engineering and IT, was part of the winning team at the Pioneer 4.0 Hackathon, hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology in Abu Dhabi. The event involved 45 students from ten UAE universities. Teams competed to create an inspection system to analyze and compare print samples for quality assurance, with a focus on automation, review, and traceability. The ceremony was held at the EDGE Learning & Innovation Factory, celebrating the innovative efforts and collaboration among the students.

Ajman University Celebrates Flag Day

Ajman University celebrated Flag Day, symbolizing unity, solidarity, and renewing loyalty to the nation and wise leadership. The flag was raised at the university campus, adjacent to the Sheikh Zayed Center for Conferences and Exhibitions. The ceremony was attended by Dr. Karim Seghir, Chancellor of Ajman University, AU Cabinet Members, as well as faculty and administrative staff.


Ajman University Hosts One of the Largest Competitions on Cybersecurity in the Region

Ajman University hosted one of the largest Capture the Flag competitions in the region, in partnership with the Cyber Security Council, powered by RedTeam Hacker Academy, and sponsored by Aafaaq Islamic Finance and Bugloud. Students from different universities across the UAE competed in a cybersecurity contest and won exciting prizes.


White Coat Ceremony: A Bright Start to a Promising Academic Journey

The College of Dentistry organized the 'White Coat Ceremony' event with the aim of enhancing the students and preparing them for their academic journey. The event focuses on promoting ethics in the dental profession. Prof. Khaled Assaleh, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Salem Abu Fanas, Dean of the College, along with faculty members attended the event. Students donned the white coat and took an oath of allegiance to the dental profession.

The College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences organized the "White Coat Ceremony" event, sponsored by "Leader Healthcare," for new Pharmacy and Nursing students. Prof. Khaled Assaleh, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, and Prof. Nageeb Abdul Galil, Dean of the College, attended the event, highlighting the University’s dedication to providing a motivating educational environment for its students throughout their academic journey. Additionally, two remarkable alumni shared their inspiring success stories, offering valuable insights to current students.

The Student Life Forum Enhances and Develops Co-curricular Activities


The Office of Student Life at Ajman University held the "Student Life Forum Fall 2023," focusing on enhancing co-curricular activities. Dr. Mohammad Helal emphasized the Forum's role in fostering ties between students and the Office. The platform enabled students from various clubs and teams to share insights, feedback, and discuss future plans. The event aimed to enrich students' experiences and prepare them for future endeavors.


Ajman University Participates in Education Fairs with Record Student Interest

Aiming to enroll top-tier students, Ajman University has marked its significant presence in key events, including Najah Dubai, Najah Abu Dhabi, BMI Education Fair Dubai, Sharjah Library Fair, Worldwide Education Expo in Dubai, the International Education Show in Sharjah, Bahrain School Tour and MEETES Jeddah. The successful participation of the University at these events highlights its appeal to prospective students and reinforces its position as a leading educational institution in the region.

The Office of Human Resources Participates in the National Career Exhibition 2023

The Office of Human Resources participated in the National Career Exhibition 2023 at Expo Centre Sharjah to present job opportunities to ambitious Emirati talents. Ajman University is committed to Emiratization, fostering innovation, and providing professional support to enhance faculty creativity and productivity.

The College of Law Participates in the Legal Book Fair 

The College of Law participated in the Legal Book Fair at the Institute of Training and Judicial Studies in Sharjah, showcasing faculty and students' publications. Attendees, including judges, lawyers, and students from various institutions, visited Ajman University's pavilion, expressing significant interest in the college's research work. 

Community at Heart

The Office of Community Engagement Organizes a Successful Blood Donation Drive

The Office of Community Engagement organized a blood donation campaign that witnessed an overwhelming response from the AU community, with numerous individuals stepping forward to "be the heartbeat for someone in need." 

The Office of Community Engagement Conducts a Breast Cancer Awareness Session

The Office of Community Engagement, in collaboration with Radisson Blu Hotel and the Saudi German Hospital, organized a breast cancer awareness session, emphasizing the significance of regular check-ups. This initiative, one in a series throughout October, underscores the shared values of collaboration and community contribution. The event particularly urged laborers and low-income families to prioritize their health by participating in the check-ups.

The Counseling Unit Celebrates World Mental Health Day with Special Activities

In celebration of World Mental Health Day, the Counseling Unit hosted a series of enlightening workshops. Mr. Ali Aldarwish tackled cybersecurity's effect on mental health, Mr. Waleed Alasbahi discussed social media's influence on well-being, Prof. Marei Ahmed emphasized positivity in academics, and Dr. Ahmad Alzubi provided valuable stress management techniques, highlighting the University's dedication to student well-being.

Green Narratives

Ajman University Proudly Joins the COP28 Universities Climate Network

Ajman University has become a member of the COP28 Universities Climate Network (UCN), emphasizing our commitment to youth-led climate initiatives. We are leading the Green Job Skills Thematic Working Group within UCN, aiming to drive meaningful discussions and projects. 

The Office of Sustainability Organizes the COP28 Roadshow

In line with Ajman University's active involvement in the COP28 Universities Climate Network (UCN), the Office of Sustainability has organized the AU Sustainability and COP28 Roadshow on campus, scheduled to run until November 8, 2023. This initiative will engage AU Community members through interactive activities centered around the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals, COP28 negotiations, interactive games, activities, a hackathon, and a gamification workshop.

The Office of Sustainability Leads AU's Representation at Climate Ambassadors Program

Under the leadership of the Office of Sustainability, 40 student ambassadors from Ajman University, representing 40 countries, actively engaged in the Climate Ambassadors Program. They collaboratively debated and crafted innovative solutions for climate change in preparation for the pivotal COP28 event.

The Office of Sustainability Reveals its Green & Go Calendar

The Office of Sustainability has published its Green & Go Calendar for the month of November, a comprehensive guide to upcoming eco-conscious activities and events designed to build awareness and engage our community.

MASAR Career Excellence Hosts Workshops on Innovation and Financial Literacy  

MASAR Career Excellence has organized a series of workshops aimed at empowering students throughout their employability journey. The "Unleashing Innovation – Recipe for Success" webinar, led by Nitin Bhandari, Manager at FAB, emphasized the importance of innovation, drawing from historical successes. 

On the other hand, the "FAB Payit Kiosk" workshop delved into practical financial literacy, covering budgeting, saving, and investment strategies.

MASAR Career Excellence Advocates Early CV Preparation for  Students Success

"Develop your CV Early On" emphasized the significance of starting CV development at an early stage. Maryam Alsuwaidi, Career Services Officer, illustrated how this forward-thinking approach can considerably boost post-graduation employability, placing participants as formidable contenders in the highly competitive job arena.

The College of Engineering and IT Hosts Tech-Talk with Huawei to Support Startups

The College of Engineering and Information Technology partnered with Huawei Technologies for a tech-talk on 'Cloud Startups Program,' led by Lubna Al-Borini. The session aimed to enlighten students on establishing startups and the crucial role of cloud computing in their success. Huawei's Cloud Startup Program offers extensive resources, emphasizing the adaptability of their cloud services in today's dynamic digital world.

The College of Mass Communication Hosts a Filmmaking Workshop Led by Sony

In alignment with Ajman University's strategy to enhance student skills through industry collaboration, the College of Mass Communication hosted a filmmaking workshop led by Sony's specialists in cinematography and lighting. This hands-on training session, held in the college's studio, underscored the University's commitment to preparing students for the professional media landscape.
