Ajman University Highlights Youth-Led Climate Solutions at COY 18

At the United Nations Youth Climate Change Conference (COY 18), held at Expo Dubai, Ajman University stood out as a knowledge partner. Distinguished guests included UAE Ministers H.E. Mariam Almheiri, H.E. Reem Al Hashimy, H.E. Shamma Al Mazrui, and H.E. Omar Al Olama. The conference, attended by over 1000 youths globally, featured a session led by Maya Haddad and Mohammed Balila, along with students from different colleges, focusing on "Climate Changers: Youth-led Solutions for a Greener Future".

Visual Odyssey: Bayan Khojah's Innovative Showcase of Peer Projects

Graphic Design student Bayan Khojah, under the supervision of Dr. Khaled Mustapha, has impressively combined the graduation projects of her peers into a visually striking exhibition. Titled "Visual Odyssey," the showcase features creatively designed posters prominently displayed in front of the Student Hub. The culmination of this challenging project will be unveiled on December 7 at 7:30 PM at J2 Block B, promising an outdoor display of remarkable creativity.

Prof. Nadir Kheir Highlights Ajman University's Peer Tutoring and Twinning Programs at Global Conference

Prof. Nadir Kheir, faculty member at the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and Manager of the Student Success Center, participated in the 11th International Conference on Interprofessional Practice and Education, titled "All Together Better Health," held at Qatar University. His presentation highlighted the integration of the Academic Twinning Program with Interprofessional education. It showcased Ajman University's Student Success Center model of Peer Tutoring Program and Academic Twinning Program, elaborating on the opportunities it can create for students.

Alaa Al Amiry Presents Groundbreaking Emergency Response Research at Arab Conference

Alaa Al Amiry's innovative research, "Economic Insights to Optimize Chain of Survival in Emergency Response", received acclaim at the 1st Arab Resuscitation Council Scientific Conference in Dubai. Collaborating with Dr. Sahel Alrousan, they integrated economic principles into emergency response studies. This interdisciplinary approach aims to refine decision-making and training in life-saving procedures, marking a significant advancement in emergency response strategies.

The College of Mass Communication Organizes the Second Cultural Forum

The College of Mass Communication organized its second cultural forum, focusing on the theme "Our Richness in Our Diversity." The event was inaugurated by H.E. Muhammad Issa Al-Kashf, member of the Federal National Council, and Dr. Hassam Salama, Dean. The forum featured contributions from both governmental and private entities, including the UAE Red Crescent, Sharjah Research Technology and Innovation Park, and Kiswa UAE. The Office of Community Engagement has partnered with Food ATM Distribution, uniting to enhance food security for lower-income groups in the UAE. This collaboration underlines a commitment to one of the country's most significant humanitarian efforts. Volunteers, including staff and students, dedicated their time to food preparation, packing, and distribution, embodying the spirit of volunteerism. The initiative not only addresses immediate needs but also fosters a culture of social responsibility and strengthens community bonds.


The Office of Student Life Leads Beach Cleanup Initiative with Local Authorities

The Office of Student Life, Ajman Municipality, and Beeah Group launched a beach clean-up campaign. Over 30 students participated in tidying up Ajman Beach, with a special focus on purging plastic and waste from the corniche areas. This initiative not only demonstrated the students' environmental consciousness but also their commitment to the community. Their hard work earned accolades from Ajman Municipality and Planning Department, highlighting students' dedication to preserving the natural beauty of Ajman's coastlines.

The Office of Medical Services Collaborates with Deanship of Student Services for Diabetes Awareness Event

The Office of Medical Services in collaboration with the Office of Deanship of Students Services hosted a diabetes awareness event at the university male hostel to celebrate World Diabetes Day. Titled "Access to Diabetes Care," the event included a session on diabetes prevention, and health screenings for the students living in AU hostel, reinforcing the University's commitment to ongoing health education, prevention, and wellbeing.
